Apple VR Headset Features Listed

The main feature of Apple’s mixed reality headset will be the ability to quickly switch between AR and VR modes. It is reported by Bloomberg.

According to agency analyst Mark Gurman, Apple’s first AR/VR device will have the ability to quickly switch between modes. He noted that the user will be able to instantly turn off one mode and turn on another using a special wheel. Presumably the headset, which will be called Reality Pro, will be priced at $ 3,000, or about 206 thousand rubles.

Mark Gurman also said that the device will receive several external cameras that will analyze the environment and record video, and a sensor that monitors the user’s eyes. Thus, the owner of the device will be able to navigate with a glance. Listing the features of Reality Pro, Gurman noted that in order to select a menu item or activate certain tasks, the user will have to bring the thumb and forefinger together.

The specialist described one of the features of the headset – video chat via FaceTime. When it is launched, the user will be able to observe a realistic avatar of his interlocutor. However, this feature consumes a lot of gadget resources, so at the first stage, the headset will only support video chats between two users.

To avoid overheating of the device, the device will receive an external battery that can be put in your pocket. On a single charge, the headset will work no more than two hours.

In December, reputable insider Ming-Chi Ko said that Apple would not release a mixed reality headset until the second half of 2023. According to him, the announcement of the device may take place in January or June 2023.
