ETNews: Samsung Galaxy S23 will get a camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels
Samsung intends to release a smartphone with a camera that will receive a record resolution. This is reported by the Korean edition of ETNews.
Media sources have found out that Samsung engineers have completed the development of the ISOCELL HP3 sensor, and the corporation is ready to start manufacturing components. The devices will be produced by Samsung Electronics and its subsidiary Samsung Electro-Mechanics.
Based on the report of insiders, the journalists concluded that the Korean corporation can equip the next flagship device with a 200 megapixel camera. Apparently, this device will be the Samsung Galaxy S23, the release of which may take place in February 2023. “If the number of pixels increases, the performance of other main parts, including memory, sensors, lens, application processor, should be improved,” the authors noted.
Experts said that improving the cameras of flagship phones is a trend in the market. So, the authors cited as an example the devices of the iPhone 14 Pro series, which should receive cameras with a resolution of 48 megapixels.
Samsung introduced a 200-megapixel sensor for smartphone cameras in September 2021. The sensor will allow you to take pictures with a resolution of 16,384×12,288 pixels and record video in 4K resolution at 120 frames per second.
