WhatsApp: now you can share the photos at their original resolution and without losing quality

WhatsApp will allow you to send photos without compression, in original quality. This is because in beta 2.23.2.11 for Android it has been shown that the application is working on this very basic function, but also so useful for sharing files between users.

The report reveals that in the beta of WhatsApp for Android there is the possibility of choosing the quality of the photos to send. When an image is selected, a new icon allows you to choose the quality, so that the content can be shared in original resolution.

As revealed by WABetaInfo, the most reliable source for all the news about WhatsApp, the messaging app will soon integrate a new option that will allow users to configure the quality of the photo sent.

How to share images without quality loss

For a long time, WhatsApp has allowed us to select the quality of the photos we send, being able to choose between three options: Automatic, Best quality and Data saving.

But even choosing the ‘Best quality’ option, WhatsApp compresses the photos before sending them. This new option is different: it will allow us to send them in full resolution, without any compression.

Telegram, WhatsApp’s great rival within messaging apps, also compresses images by default, but for some time now it has allowed us to select whether we want to share them at their original resolution.

According to WABetaInfo, with this new function, when a user goes to share a photo, a new icon will appear at the top that will allow them to select the quality with which they want to send it.

At the moment, this feature is in development, so we will still have to wait a few months before seeing it in a new update.
