SlashGear authors call battery cases a “waste of money”
The authors of the publication SlashGear have listed the most useless smartphone accessories. The list is available on the portal website.
First of all, journalists singled out miniature wireless printers that can print compact photos directly from a smartphone. Experts noted that the resulting images can be put in a wallet or hung in front of a mirror, but printing really high-quality photographs requires more advanced equipment.
The authors called phone cases with a built-in battery a waste of money. This device is able to support the battery of a smartphone, but such an accessory is often heavy and massive. Also, according to experts, modern smartphones can do without an additional battery, as they are able to quickly charge from the network.
In conclusion, the journalists mentioned overhead lenses that can improve the quality of photos taken on the phone. “Modern smartphone cameras are very effective on their own, and adding accessories is more likely to degrade the final product rather than improve it,” the authors stressed.
In July 2022, SlashGear journalists conducted a survey and found out which Apple devices consumers consider the most failed. The list includes the HomePod smart speaker, AirTag smart tag and AirPods wireless headphones.
