Analysts from the Moscow Department of Information Technology (DIT) said that smartphones and smart speakers were the most popular among residents of the capital last year. The results of the study were published on the portal of the mayor and the government of Moscow.
It is noted that in 2022 among Muscovites the demand for smartphones has increased. So, the number of owners of these gadgets increased to 95 percent, which is four percent more than in 2021. “At the same time, 89 percent of users said they could not do without a smartphone in everyday life,” the publication says. It is specified that smartphones for a number of their functions continue to displace laptops more and more.
In addition, last year Muscovites actively purchased smart speakers. As the survey showed, every fourth resident of the capital uses them. When it comes to home devices, Wi-Fi routers and Internet-enabled TVs are the most commonly used. “Wi-Fi router became the most popular device for the first time in four years of research. Its presence in the house was noted by 87 percent of the residents, ”analysts said.
Earlier it became known that in 2022 the demand of Russians for the iPhone fell by almost half. It is specified that, despite this, the brand retained its leadership in the market in terms of money.
