According to leaks, Samsung was supposed to present the new series of flagship smartphones Galaxy S23 in the first or second week of 2023. However, this will not happen, and one of the reasons for the delay – as it is said unofficially – was the still unresolved issue of device prices.
We know the unofficial prices of Galaxy S23 smartphones
It is now known that the new Samsung smartphones should be shown to the world in the first days of February. Apparently, however, the Korean manufacturer has already set the prices of its flagships, because … they have just leaked online.
According to the information provided by Maekyung, Samsung decided to leave the prices at the same level as for the Galaxy S22 series. This is a big surprise, because experts expected an increase (and quite a significant one) in prices compared to last year.
The Koreans are supposed to keep the price at the old level, even if it means a further decline in the company’s operating profit. However, there is a catch here. It is possible that prices will go up, but only after the premiere of the iPhone 15, which should be priced even less attractively than last year’s iPhone 14.
PLN 3,999, and its larger version was PLN 1,000 more expensive. Of course, the most you had to pay for the top variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra with a stylus, which cost PLN 5,899.
What is known about the Samsung Galaxy S23?
The new smartphones from the Galaxy S23 series are to get Dynamic AMOLED screens with diagonals of 6.1 (S23), 6.6 (S23+) or 6.8 inches (S23 Ultra) and a resolution of 1440×3088 pixels. The heart of the phones will be additionally overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which will be the most powerful processor for Android devices in 2023. In addition, we will get 8 or 12 GB of RAM and at least 256 GB of data space (supposedly Samsung will completely abandon the 128 GB version).
It is also known that the Galaxy S23 Ultra is to get four cameras with resolutions of 108, 12, 12 and 2 Mpix. Contrary to earlier rumors, Samsung will not decide to implement a matrix with a resolution of 200 Mpix.
