Citilink: sales of Chinese laptops in Russia grew by 80 percent in a year
Among Russians in 2022, laptops from Chinese manufacturers have become sharply popular. This was reported in a press release from Citilink, which was at the disposal of Lenta.ru.
The retailer’s report says that Asus, HP and Lenovo models were the most popular. The average check in this category increased by 10 percent. Cumulative sales of Chinese laptops are up 80 percent compared to 2021. The company emphasized the emergence of new brands: “Citilink, for example, now has Chuwi, Hasee, XPG, Realme, Infinix, Tecno, iTel, Rombica and Hiper laptops.”
The Russians were most interested in models presented in the price range from 40 to 50 thousand rubles. The most popular devices were Acer Aspire A315 Intel Core i3, ASUS VivoBook 15 Intel Core i3 and Lenovo IdaePad 3 15 Intel Core i5. Most often, buyers preferred devices with an integrated graphics chip, on Intel Core i3 and i5 processors and eight gigabytes of RAM.
Among gaming computers, the MSI GF63 model with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card was in the lead. The most popular devices for gamers were estimated at 60-70 thousand rubles.
In October, Vedomosti reported that sales of computers from American manufacturers had collapsed in Russia. So, if in January 15 thousand Dell laptops were sold, then in August – only 1670 pieces.
