Specialist Kuskov advised not to put the laptop on a blanket, not to shake and not to discharge to “zero”
Telecom Daily CEO Denis Kuskov, in an interview with Prime, listed bad habits that can “kill” a laptop.
So, the expert advised not to put the laptop on upholstered furniture or a blanket. Laptops can get hot and the fabric prevents them from cooling effectively. This causes the electronics to overheat.
The specialist also recommended that you handle the laptop with care, do not shake or throw it even on a soft surface, because the components will become unusable from shaking and bumps.
Kuskov stressed that you should not eat and, in particular, drink at the laptop. Moreover, if water gets into the laptop, then there is still a chance that it will remain in working condition, but tea, coffee and sugar-containing drinks will almost certainly lead to breakdown due to oxidation. In this case, restoring the laptop will be very difficult, and repair is indispensable.
You should not discharge the laptop battery “to zero”: rechargeable batteries do not tolerate a full discharge, and if you do this regularly, the laptop battery will quickly become unusable. As a rule, this is 10 or 15 percent) the device displays a warning on the screen – in this case, it needs to be put on charge, Kuskov advised.
Earlier, the pilot explained why it is forbidden to use laptops on board the aircraft, although passengers can use phones freely. According to him, the rules for electronic equipment initially arose due to fears of radio interference, but now the ban on the use of laptops concerns only the physical safety of passengers.
