Sony announces a change. From now on, there will be no more problems with the availability of PlayStation 5

Problems with the availability of PlayStation 5 consoles have existed since Sony officially launched it at the end of 2020. It even got to the point that some sellers (also in Poland) artificially inflated prices in order to earn more on copies that were still in stock.

Sony: no more problems with PS5 availability. Unprecedented demand

However, we have to say goodbye to the problems completely. During the CES 2023 fair in Las Vegas, which is just beginning, Sony announced that there are no more problems with the availability of the PS5. The Japanese admitted that in the last two years they faced “unprecedented demand”, but from now on, customers who want to buy a console can do so without any obstacles.

Sony added that the PS5 has recently received a lot of interest. Since its debut, 30 million copies of the console have already been sold to customers, a large part of which during the holiday season. Last year’s December was supposed to be a record period since the PS5 went on sale.

In fact, in November 2022, Sony reported that it had sold 25 million of the latest generation consoles. Over the last two months, this result has been improved by another 5 million.

During CES 2023, Sony also presented an innovative PS5 controller with a rather unusual appearance (Leonardo Project). The controller is expected to hit the market (although it is not yet clear when exactly) and will be aimed at people with disabilities.
