Photoblog.pl was founded in 2004 by two students from the Tri-City – Sebastian MichaĆowski and Tomasz Chmielewski. Currently, the owner of the website is a company founded by men, Pixnet, which has been in liquidation since 2017. In 2008-2009, the website was very popular, ranking alongside platforms such as , YouTube, MojaGeneracja, MySpace and Fotka.
The nk.pl website was closed in July 2021. In 2012, MojaGeneracja.pl, associated with Gadu-Gadu, ceased operations.
