Analyst Magomedov called a rapidly discharging battery a sign of a “dying” smartphone
Every gadget has its own lifespan. It is possible to understand that the device is worn out and “dies” by several signs. Shamil Magomedov, head of the Department of Intelligent Information Security Systems of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies of the RTU MIREA, listed them in an interview with Lenta.ru.
The first and main symptom is a rapidly discharging battery. A swelling battery may indicate the imminent “death” of the gadget: this can be understood by the slightly lagging back cover of the device. The main solution to this problem is to replace the battery.

Another sign of problems is the heating of the smartphone at rest, that is, not while charging or using “heavy” applications, the specialist noted.
“One of the main arguments in favor of replacing the device is the lack of facts about receiving security updates for the operating system, which significantly increases the risk of malicious impact. Also, mobile devices with an outdated operating system are often not supported by developers of various software, which makes it impossible to launch such applications,” said Shamil Magomedov.
According to the analyst, no smartphone can last forever. But subject to certain rules, there is a chance to increase the service life.
“I recommend regularly cleaning the gadget’s cache from “garbage” using special applications, updating anti-virus software and protecting the device from mechanical damage, as well as periodically carrying out maintenance at service centers,” he concluded.
Previously, Blogger Zach Nelson talked about the most durable smartphones.
