The YouTuber chose the Google Pixel 7 as the phone of the year. According to Brownlee, the device from Google received high-quality screens, cameras and a battery. The specialist also noted ASUS Zenfone 9 and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The enthusiast called the last device “boring and expensive”, but one of the best phones on the market.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which has a 6.8-inch screen diagonal and a stylus, won the Best Large Phone nomination. The best compact device according to the blogger was ASUS Zenfone 9, equipped with a 5.9-inch display. The author chose the iPhone 14 Pro Max as the best camera phone, the device with the most advanced battery – ASUS ROG Phone 6, which came out with a 6000 milliamp-hour battery.
The Design Award went to Nothing Phone. The blogger emphasized that its creators were not afraid and installed a complex backlight system in the phone. The Value Award was won by the Google Pixel 7. Brownlee chose the OnePlus 10T as the most breakthrough device of the year for “great difference between expectations and reality.”
Previously, Marques Brownlee conducted a blind camera test in which the Google Pixel 6a won. The phone identified Google Pixel 7 Pro and Asus Zenfone 9.
