Russia can’t even do it in space. Secret satellite burnt up during mission. He served two months

“The military launched the Kosmos-2560 in October [dokładnie 16.10.2022 r. – red.]. It reentered the atmosphere on December 10 near Guam [wyspa w południowej części archipelagu Marianów w Mikronezji – red.]. Like the previous satellite in the series, it was unable to enter orbit,” explains astronomer, astrophysicist and scientist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Jonathan McDowell.

Russia’s failure in space. Onboard systems were supposed to function “normally”

The fate of Kosmos-2560 is kept secret. According to American experts, however, it was an EMKA-class reconnaissance satellite – a simplified version of the Razbieg satellites for the Russian armed forces.

was launched into orbit by the Angara-1.2 light carrier rocket, and the launch was broadcast, among others, on on state television. At the time, the Russian Ministry of Defense assured that a stable telemetry connection with the ship was maintained and its on-board systems functioned normally.

The reason for the serial defect? It wasn’t the first time

Kosmos-2560 is not the first Russian military satellite whose mission ended in a disaster. On April 29, the Russians launched the -2555 spacecraft. It failed to keep it in orbit for even a month. It burned as did Kosmos-2560.

The most likely explanation for the failures is a serial defect that prevented the satellites from using the engines, the portal reports. According to him, this indicates a crisis in the industry, because Russia has spent a lot of money on the launch, and it cannot create a spacecraft with a long lifespan.
