Appleinsider: Apple will release a 15.5-inch MacBook Air in the spring of 2023
Apple has planned to release a cheap laptop with a larger screen size. This is reported by Appleinsider.
Media journalists referred to the report of the head of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young. According to an insider, the American company has planned the release of a 15.5-inch ultrabook MacBook Air. The device is going to be presented in the spring of 2023.
Thus, Apple will increase the display size of its most affordable laptop in the Mac lineup. At the moment, the company offers two devices of the Air series for purchase – a 13-inch laptop on the M1 processor and a 13.6-inch device on the M2 chip.
According to journalists, an authoritative insider Ming-Chi Ko previously reported on a similar device with a 15.5-inch screen. However, the specialist specified that this device could not be called a MacBook Air due to its large dimensions. Ko also believes that such a device will be put into production no earlier than the end of 2023.
In mid-December, Display Supply Chain Consultants analyst Ross Young said that Apple intends to introduce the MacBook Air with an OLED screen in 2024. The company should also add an OLED display to the 11-inch iPad Pro tablet.
