In the United States, a case of rescuing a driver who got into a traffic accident thanks to the iPhone was recorded. This is reported by Appleinsider.
The story of the woman who had an accident was told on Reddit by her husband. A man under the nickname unclescorpion said that the accident detection function worked on his wife’s Apple smartphone, called special services and notified loved ones about the incident. The participants in the accident were taken to the hospital, where they received medical care.
According to a Reddit visitor, he was on the phone with his wife as she drove home from the store in her car. Suddenly, the man heard the sound of a blow and the cry of his wife, and then the conversation was interrupted. “Seconds later, I received a notification from her iPhone saying she had been in an accident and giving her exact location,” the netizen said. It turned out that the driver of the oncoming car crossed the dividing line and rammed the woman’s car.
The man arrived at the scene of the accident before the emergency services and provided first aid to his wife. According to him, the woman gave his number to the eyewitnesses who were on the spot, but due to stress, she indicated the wrong contact.
