New iPad fails durability test

Blogger JerryRigEverything destroyed the iPad 10 in a durability test

Blogger Zach Nelson, known by the nickname JerryRigEverything, tested the strength of the iPad 10 and destroyed the device. The corresponding video is available on the YouTube channel of the author.

A blogger studying the strength of gadgets found out that the Apple tablet, presented at the end of October, has a screen that is susceptible to sharp objects. In addition, the expert showed that the rear matte surface of the device is easily scratched with a clerical knife or other metal objects.

During testing, Nelson found that the appearance of the device’s aluminum frames can also be easily ruined by leaving marks on them. However, the tablet’s camera was well protected by special glass.

In closing, JerryRigEverything tried to break the iPad in half. The blogger put pressure on the device from both sides, causing damage to the device. The metal frame of the gadget lost its shape, the glass covering the screen cracked.

In early December, enthusiasts from iFixit studied the internals of the new Apple tablet. Experts found out that the USB-C port and other parts of the device were “tightly” soldered to the motherboard, that is, they cannot be replaced.
