PhoneArena: most often smartphones become unusable due to charging problems
Most often, smartphone users change their devices due to charging problems. This is reported by the publication PhoneArena.
The journalists of the portal referred to the study of Green Smartphones, which the company’s specialists conducted together with Google. The survey involved residents of the UK. In the material, the authors listed the main causes of smartphone breakdowns, due to which their owners throw away or change gadgets. It turned out that most often – in 33 percent of cases – consumers stop using the device after it stops charging.
In second place – 10 percent – the problem of a non-working touchscreen screen is indicated. In 9 percent of cases, phones become unusable due to a failed speaker or excessive overheating of the device, in 8 percent – due to microphone failure. Other reasons include poor battery performance, problems with the camera, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Least of all – about 1 percent of cases – smartphone owners change their devices due to problems with GPS or wireless charging.
The authors of the study noticed that many of the troubles associated with the operation of the smartphone can be eliminated and continue to use the phone. So, if the device stops charging, it makes sense to check the charging port or replace the battery.
In early December, Ericsson analysts estimated the number of 5G users at one billion. Also, according to experts, the number of users of 4G services has exceeded five billion.
