MacRumors: iPhone 15 Pro will have touch volume buttons
Apple will ditch physical control buttons in future smartphones. This is reported by MacRumors.
Media journalists studied the letter from Cirrus Logic, one of Apple’s suppliers, to its shareholders. The document said the firm would “engage with a strategic client” and release HPMS components for smartphones. According to Barclays analysts Blaine Curtis and Tom O’Malley, Cirrus Logic has in mind that it will supply haptic response drivers for Apple smartphones.
Experts explained that such components will be associated with the appearance of touch buttons in the iPhone. It will replace the volume controls and turn on the device, located on the side of the gadget. With the help of Taptic Engine mechanisms, the smartphone will respond to pressing with tactile feedback, simulating interactions with real buttons.
“The biggest change in new iPhone models next year is the removal of buttons,” the authors summed up. According to Barclays experts, the new control system will appear in the most expensive smartphones – iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
At the end of November, insiders said that the future Apple smartphone could get a body with rounded rear edges. Apple last used a rounded-edge design in 2013 with the iPhone 5c.
