Birzhevaya specialist: short calls and a headset will increase the performance of a smartphone in the cold
Power bank rental service expert “Take a charge!” Sergey Birzhevoy, in an interview with RIA Novosti, gave advice on extending the smartphone’s operating time in the cold.
The specialist pointed out that low temperatures are difficult operating conditions for the battery, so you can be left without communication at any time.
“But if you follow simple rules, you can avoid unexpected problems: use a headset – then the phone will be in your pocket, purse most of the time … Limit the time of talking, after each conversation, the phone must be warmed up,” Birzhevoy explained.
He advised not to use gadgets with Li-ion batteries in the cold for more than ten minutes and use a special heating case. You should also turn on the power saving mode and turn off unnecessary services to reduce the load on the battery. You can charge the device again only after it has warmed up to room temperature.
Earlier, Shamil Magomedov, Head of the Department of Intelligent Information Security Systems of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies of the RTU MIREA, warned that it is not safe to use a smartphone while charging.
