iPhones: iPhone 14 series smartphones certified to work in Russia

Experts commented on rumors about problems with the iPhone 14 on the Russian market. This is reported by the publication iPhones.

According to the authors of the media, after the Apple presentation, there were rumors on the network that the brand’s new phones might not work in Russia. This was due to the fact that in March the company left the Russian market and stopped deliveries. Experts denied these reports.

Journalists drew attention to the section with technical information about the iPhone 14 series devices on the company’s website, where it was indicated that the devices had received all the necessary certifications. So, iPhone 14 was registered on the local market as model A2883, iPhone 14 Plus – A2887, iPhone 14 Pro – A2891, iPhone 14 Pro Max – A2895. In addition to the Russian market, smartphones under these identifiers were certified for sale in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

“This does not mean that other models will not work in Russia. It’s just that they may have territorial restrictions,” the authors noted. As an example, experts cited the mmWave 5G standard, which is not available in Russia.

Earlier it became known that the new satellite communication feature on the iPhone 14 will not be available in Russia. Experts explained that this option will only work in the United States and Canada.
