XDA Developers: Google will develop a service to find lost Android smartphones
A service designed to detect lost smartphones may appear on the Android platform, according to XDA Developers.
Media specialists studied the system code of the current Google Play update and found in it a mention of a program for a simplified search for smartphones. The network being developed is called Find My Device Network, it will help users find out about the location of their devices and help other smartphone owners find lost devices.
According to journalists, Google has an application Find My Device Network, which allows you to track the location of the device. However, this option only works with smartphones that are signed in with a Google account. It is expected that the new service will unite all Android devices into a single network, which will help to quickly locate any gadget using other phones.
In conclusion, the authors noted that Apple already has a similar service. The Find My program allows you to track your smartphone, tablet, computer and any other Apple gadget, even if it is offline or turned off.
In mid-August, Google released a new generation of Android OS. The Android 13 operating system has become available on Google Pixel smartphones, before the end of the year it will appear on devices from other brands.
