Jobs’ prototype of Apple’s first computer is up for auction

The prototype of the first Apple computer created by Jobs and Wozniak was put up for auction

The prototype of the first Apple computer, which was created by the company’s founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, was put up for auction at RR Auction. This is reported by Business Insider.

The auction will end on August 18th. It is noted that the prototype has minor damage. So, on it you can find a “crack coming from the area adjacent to the power supply” of the device. Experts believe that the final price of the gadget could be about 500 thousand dollars.

The original Apple-1 personal computer was hand-soldered by Wozniak in 1976. According to the publication, it was created after receiving the first major order from Jobs and Wozniak. Then the founders of the company demonstrated the device to the owner of a computer store, Paul Terrell.

Earlier, SlashGear journalists conducted a survey and found out which Apple devices consumers consider the most disastrous. During the survey, the authors of the thematic portal asked 620 Apple users from the United States to name the brand’s devices that they consider unsuccessful and would never have purchased. Topping the list is the HomePod smart speaker. The device, which appeared in 2018, received 20.48 percent of the vote.
