“Peru will always be my priority,” says Argentine coach Ricardo Gareca

Argentine coach Ricardo Gareca assured this Thursday that the Peruvian team is a priority for his future work plans, given the versions of a supposed interest from Boca Juniors.

“Peru is always a priority for me,” Gareca told the press, without confirming if he will renew his contract with the Peruvian team that ended after seven years after the playoff to the Qatar-2022 World Cup with Australia.

“I have an excellent dialogue,” the coach added briefly in reference to the communication with the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF).

When asked about a possible contract with the Argentine club Boca Juniors in his country, Gareca firmly replied “I have nothing.”

The FPF reported that its priority is to renew the contract of coach Gareca so that he continues for the next four years as head of the Peruvian team, which lost the playoff to the Qatar-2022 World Cup against Australia on penalties.
