Liverpool should count on Fabinho and Thiago comebacks against Atlético Madrid for the Champions League

Fabinho and Thiago Alcântara should return to the Liverpool to face the Atlético de Madrid, for the Champions League. This Tuesday, coach Jurgen Klopp gave a press conference and spoke about the midfielders’ physical condition.

“Fabinho and Thiago trained normally and are in dispute, which is good, obviously. This helps a lot and then we’ll see. Injuries at this time of season are completely normal. As long as they are not too serious, we have to accept them. The players will hopefully return soon,” said the German coach.

After hurting his knee, the Brazilian midfielder has not played since October 3, when he started the draw against Manchester City 2-2. The naturalized Spanish athlete, who injured his calf, played his last match on September 18, in a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

However, despite possible reinforcements, Klopp will have an embezzlement for the next duel. He will be without fellow midfielder Naby Keita, who is recovering from a thigh muscle injury.

Leader of Group B with 100% success, Liverpool return to the field on Wednesday, at 17:00 (GMT), when they host Atlético de Madrid in Anfield. The match is valid for the 4th round of the competition.
