The Ecuadorian midfielder Jeremy Sarmiento suffered an injury on Monday in game of the premier league 2a tournament played with the sub-23 category of the Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 loss against Chelsea.
Sarmiento appeared after adding five minutes with the first team in the draw of the seagulls (2-2) with the Southampton, on Sunday.
In the 48th minute, the player “he grabbed the back of his left thigh” and left “limping”according to British media reports, but the injury would be far from worrying for the player and the club.
“Nothing serious, I felt discomfort in my left leg”confirmed the national team, who added his first minutes after an injury that took him away from the courts since December.
“I already had the resonance and I got a grade 1b tear, which means two weeks out. Everyone is already inventing that (it will be) three or four months”, revealed the midfielder to the portal soccerecuador.
With the time estimated by the player for his recovery, Sarmiento would be available to the Brighton coaching staff and the Ecuadorian soccer team for the games friendly to be held in June, in the United States, preparations for the World Cup Qatar 2022. (D)
