Athlete Mukhametshina violated anti-doping rules and received a disqualification
Russian track and field athlete Aleksa Mukhametshina has been suspended for an anti-doping rule violation. This was reported on the website of the All-Russian Federation of Athletics (VFLA).
A sample taken from Mukhametshina in January contained traces of meldonium. The long jumper was disqualified for three years. The results of the athlete, which she showed since the date of the positive doping test, were canceled.
On March 29, it became known that the International Swimming Federation (FINA) suspended three athletes from Russia. Artem Lobuzov, Alexandra Sokolova and Artem Podyakov were banned for four years for anti-doping rule violations.
Lobuzov became the bronze medalist of the European Short Course Championship, and also won silver at the 2013 World Championship in relay races.
