Crystal Palace and Leeds United draw for the Premier League

In a game valid for the 34th round of the English Premier LeagueCrystal Palace hosted Leeds United, this Monday, and the teams drew goalless.

John Textor’s team occupies the 14th place in the championship, with 38 points, and breathed in the fight against relegation. Leeds, on the other hand, has 34 points, in 16th position, and is five points behind Everton, the first team inside the relegation zone, with five games left for the English.

The teams return to the field on Saturday, for the next round of the championship. Crystal Palace visit Southampton at 11:00 am (GMT), while Leeds welcome leaders Manchester City at 1:30 pm.

The clash

The home team started the match on top and, in the 15th minute, missed a clear chance. After Jordan Ayew’s cross, the defender and the goalkeeper did not reach the ball, but forward Jean-Philippe Mateta caught it badly and hit it wide.

The complementary stage started tight, but still without great chances for either side. Over time, the visitors started to play better and had more opportunities in the match, but it wasn’t enough to take zero off the scoreboard.
