Teuns wins the first stage of the Tour de Romandie and Dennis is the new leader

Dylan Teuns (Bahrain Victorious) won the first stage of the Tour de Romandie which was held this Wednesday, April 27, between La Grande Beroche and Romont, 178 kilometers long. Teuns overtook a Rohan Dennis (Jumbo Visma) in the last meter who was second and donned the leader’s jersey.

Teuns caught up with Dennis, who was on the run in the last kilometre, and passed him over the line to take the win. Marc Hisrschi (UAE Emirates) was third, two seconds. Along with the latter also entered Alexander Vlasov (BORA-hansgrohe). Juan Ayuso (UAE Emirates), Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers), Felix Grobschartner (BORA-hansgrohe) and Einer Rubio (Movistar), among others, crossed the finish line four seconds behind the winner.

Rohan Dennis leads the general classification with 16 seconds ahead of Felix Grobschartner and Geraint Thomassecond and third respectively.
