Friday’s game in Grudzidz was the last test before Saturday’s Croatian Grand Prix in Gorican, which will start the 2022 Grand Prix season. The Pole will be a clear favorite in it, looking for his third world champion title. All the more so because in this year’s cycle two Russians will not go – world champion Artiom Aguta and Emil Sajfutdinow, excluded from the competition due to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
Steel of victory in Grudzidz. Zmarzlik is in good shape before the Grand Prix
And on Friday Zmarzlik showed that he is in good shape. Only in his first start will he lose any points, coming third behind Nicky Pedersen and teammate Anders Thomsen, for which he will receive this bonus. In his other three races, the world runner-up has already won, although in heat 7 he had to fight with Krzysztof Kasprzak in a passionate fight. In the nominated run, on the other hand, he will not appear at all if there was no such need.
After four heats, GKM is leading 13:11, but then Stal put in the next gear and started scolding his opponent. She won four out of five consecutive heats, including three with a score of 5: 1. At 13:11 it was 21:33 and the guests hit the road to a certain win. Stal secured them even before the nominated runs – after 13th gear and a double victory for the Zmarzlik – Vaculik pair, it was 31:47. Two of the leaders of Stal in the nominated races were given a break, the whole game ended with the result 39:51 for Moje Bermuda Stal Gorzw and two points went to Gorzów. Zmarzlik was chosen the best player of the meeting, who scored 10 points + bonus in four starts.
Martin Vaculik will get 10 + 2 bonuses and Anders Thomsen will get 11 + bonuses. For the hosts, the good performance of Nicki Pedersen (13 points) and Krzysztof Kasprzak (11 +1) was of no avail.
In Leszno, Unia breaks the newcomer
An even more one-sided meeting was in Leszno, where Fogo Unia breaks up Arged Males Ostrw Wielkopolski, this year’s newcomer, 56:34.
On the so-called “Smoczyku”, as the facility in Leszno is called, the Unia quickly gained a two-digit advantage – the first three heats were won 5: 1, thanks to which they were leading by 15: 3.
Later, the hosts only increased this advantage, although in the team the guests were well eaten by Grzegorz Walasek and Chris Holder, who in total scored as much as 25 out of 34 points of the entire team. However, their colleagues definitely stood out not only from them, but also from all the hives of Fogo Unia.
The team from Leszno was much more equal – Piotr Pawlicki scored 12 points, Jaimon Lidsey scored 11 points, Jason Doyle (+3 bonuses) and Janusz Koodziej scored 9 points, and David Belego scored 7 points.
In the remaining matches of this line, which will take place on Sunday, Zielona-Energia.com Wkniarz Czstochowa will face Betard Spart Wrocaw, while Motor Lublin will take on For Nature Solutuons Apator Toru.
