The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, on Instagram appreciated the performance of Russian mixed style (MMA) fighters Magomed Ankalaev and Albert Duraev at the UFC 267 tournament.
Kadyroy considered that the athletes showed excellent technique, proving that “Akhmat” trains the best fighters. He said that he would separately reward Ankalaev and Duraev for a decent result at UFC 267. “I am sure this will serve as an additional incentive for them in their future sports career,” the politician emphasized.
At UFC 267, Ankalaev defeated Volkan Ozdemir by decision, Duraev defeated Roman Kopylov by decision. Ankalaev now has 16 victories and one defeat, Duraev has 15 victories and three defeats.
UFC 267 took place in Abu Dhabi on October 30. In the main match of the evening, Brazilian Glover Teixeira defeated Pole Jan Blachovic with a rear naked choke and won the UFC light heavyweight champion belt.
