Alexey Berezutsky explained the defeat of CSKA from Spartak by mistakes in simple situations
CSKA head coach Alexei Berezutsky explained the defeat of the red and blue in the quarterfinal match of the Cup of Russia from the capital’s “Spartak”. His words are quoted by Championship.com.
Berezutsky noted that the main factor of failure was the mistakes of CSKA players in simple situations and haste. He stressed that goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev helped keep the team in the game.
Earlier on April 20, CSKA lost to Spartak with a minimum score. CSKA spent the second half in the minority due to the removal of Jean-Philippe Gbamen.
The red-whites reached the semi-finals of the tournament and will recognize their opponent on April 21. Dynamo Moscow, Alania Vladikavkaz and Yenisei Krasnoyarsk also secured participation in this stage of the Russian Cup. The semi-final matches will be played on May 11 and 12.
