João Félix scores, Atlético de Madrid beats Betis and enters Espanyol’s G4

This Sunday, Atlético de Madrid and Real Betis dueled for the 12th round of the Spanish Championship. At Wanda Metropolitano, Diego Simeone’s team won 3-0, with goals from Yannick Carrasco, Germán Pezzella (own) and João Félix. Uruguayan Luís Suárez passed by.

In the next round, Atlético de Madrid visit Valencia, on Sunday, at 12:15 pm (GMT). Betis, in turn, will have the derby against Sevilla, at home, on the same day, at 17:00 (GMT).

The game – In the first half, the hosts opened the scoring after 26 minutes. Yannick Carrasco got a good individual play and sent Claudio Bravo to the left corner.

In the second stage, after just four minutes, Mario Hermoso, from the colchoneros, even put the ball in the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside after a review by the VAR.

At 18, Atlético de Madrid expanded. Germán Pezzella, from Betis, headed against his own goal after a corner kick, and ended up scoring against.

And the home team expanded at 36 minutes. João Félix received it in depth and hit the back of the net. The assistant initially called offside, but the goal was confirmed by the VAR.

In another game this Sunday, Cádiz and Mallorca drew 1-1, with goals from Negredo and Iddrisu Baba, respectively.
