Liverpool draw against Benfica to advance to Champions League semi-finals
English “Liverpool” drew with the Lisbon “Benfica” with a score of 3:3 in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League and advanced to the semi-finals of the European Cup. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting took place at the Anfield stadium in Liverpool. The home team opened the scoring in the 21st minute – French defender Ibrahima Konate scored. Goncalo Ramos equalized in the 32nd minute. Roberto Firmino returned the lead to Liverpool in the 55th minute. He scored a double in the 65th minute, making the score 3:1.
Despite a two-goal lead, Liverpool missed out on winning the match: in the final segment of the meeting, the players of the Portuguese club managed to hit the opponents’ goal twice and level the score.
