In a meeting held this Thursday, the Premier League discussed, with its shareholders, changes on player substitutions, the transfer window and measures against covid-19.
The organization decided to allow teams to make, in each game, five substitutions. The same can be done in three stops, with an additional opportunity in between.
As for the transfer window, the point discussed was the dates. In summer 2022, it will open on June 10th and close on September 1st.
The last interference made was in the measures against covid-19. Starting April 4, the League will remove twice-weekly testing of players and staff and move to symptomatic testing only.
Other key updates include removing the requirement for clinical passports to access previously restricted areas on training grounds and on game days.
“The well-being of players and staff remains a priority and the Premier League will continue to monitor the national Covid-19 situation, adapting League-wide protocols as necessary,” the statement said.
