Forward Lionel Messi arrived in Buenos Aires this Tuesday to join the Argentina national team, which will face Venezuela and Ecuador in the South American qualifiers to the world Cup of 2022.

The Argentina national team captain arrived in Buenos Aires in his private plane along with PSG teammates Ángel Di María and Leandro Paredes.
Argentina, already qualified for the Qatar World Cup, face Venezuela next Friday at Bombonera, and ends their participation in the Qualifiers against Ecuador, on March 29, in Guayaquil.
Messi was absent from coach Lionel Scaloni’s last call-up at the end of January, when he was still recovering from Covid-19.
The Argentinian also did not take the field in the last game of PSG, in the defeat to Monaco by 3-0 on Sunday, for the French Championshipdue to the flu.
