The semi-finals of the FA Cup were drawn. A big hit is brewing

This could be the most exciting two weeks of the season in the British Isles. On 10 April, Manchester City, who are just one point ahead of Liverpool in the Premier League, will take on Juergen Klopp’s side in a league match. There are many indications that both teams will play again, just a few days later.

This is the result of the FA Cup semi-finals draw that took place on Sunday evening. Manchester City will play in the semi-final against the winner of the pair Nottingham Forest – Liverpool, which started on Sunday at 7pm. The visitors are the obvious favorite. Their rivals are placed 9th in the Championship table.

Manchester City advanced to the semi-finals on Sunday after beating Southampton 4-1 away. The result indicates that Pep Guardiola’s players had an easy task. Nothing could be more wrong. Although the visitors took the lead in the 12th minute with Raheem Sterling’s goal, it was 1-1 just before the break after Aymeric Laporte’s own goal.

Hit in the FA Cup semi-finals?

At the beginning of the second half, Southampton made a bold move to Manchester City, but did not take advantage of its chances. In the 62nd minute, Kevin De Bruyne used a penalty kick, and 13 minutes later Phil Foden showed off with a great shot. Ryiad Mahrez finished the broken hosts.

Chelsea will play against Crystal Palace in the second semi-final. Thomas Tuchel’s side advanced on Saturday when they beat Middlesbrough away 2-0. Crystal Palace smashed Everton 4-0 on Sunday after goals from Marc Guehi, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Wilfried Zaha and Will Hughes.

The semi-finals will be played on April 16-17 at Wembley.
