The Russian head of judges who “did nasty” on the Olympic Games wanted to return to the FIG

The Independent Ethics Commission of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) announced that Russian Natalya Kuzmina was included in the list of candidates for the position of head of the FIG technical committee in rhythmic gymnastics. RIA Novosti reports.

The FIG said that Kuzmina was returned to the list of candidates after the adoption of interim measures ordered by the ethics commission. It is noted that the candidacy of the Russian woman was withdrawn at the request of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics (VFHG) in September this year.

FIG Vice President Vasily Titov in an interview with Match TV said that Kuzmina had filed a complaint with an independent ethical foundation, which wanted to return the situation to a pre-conflict state. In his opinion, the FIG violates the right of the All-Ukrainian Agricultural Group to nominate and recall candidates. “Court, appeal, appeal – whatever you like. Nobody can put it forward anymore. The terms of nomination are determined by the FIG statutes, “Titov emphasized.

On September 8, Viner-Usmanova withdrew Kuzmina’s candidacy from the election of the head of the FIG technical committee, stressing that “at the Olympic Games, she did something nasty.” The reason was the refereeing of the Russian woman at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where the winner in the individual all-around was the Israeli Lina Ashram, who bypassed the Russian woman Dina Averina. At the same time, the representative of Israel dropped the object during the last speech.
