Alexander Emelianenko called Kharitonov’s victory over the American an Oscar bid
Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Alexander Emelianenko reacted to the victory of compatriot Sergei Kharitonov over American boxer Malik Scott. The athlete spoke on Instagram.
“A serious bid for an Oscar, Seryozha, there will be no circus in our fight. Prepare for battle, not for acting, ”wrote Emelianenko.
On March 14, Kharitonov challenged Alexander Emelianenko to a fight. The athlete called the opponent a drunk and invited him to fight on bare fists, without a judge.
41-year-old Kharitonov had 41 MMA fights with 31 wins and eight losses. Two more fights were declared invalid. In 2006, the athlete lost to Alexander Emelianenko by knockout. The 40-year-old fighter has 38 fights, 28 wins, nine losses and one draw.
