Italy summons naturalized Brazilians João Pedro and Luiz Felipe for repechage

This Friday, Roberto Mancini announced Italy’s squad for the decisive play-off of the World Cup qualifiers. Naturalized Brazilians João Pedro, from Cagliari, and Luiz Felipe, from Lazio, were called up for the first time.

Chiesa, Rafael Toloi and Spinazzola are missing due to injury. Meret, Bernardeschi and Castrovilli are absent by technical choice.

Italy will face North Macedonia on March 24 and need to win to continue fighting for a place in the Cup. If he advances, he will still have to face, on the 29th, the winner of the duel between Portugal and Turkey to guarantee qualification for the World Cup.
