Now a delegation from the International Judo Federation (IJF) reached Guayaquil to inspect the Colosseum Voltaire Paladins Polewhich will be the scene of the next World Junior Judo Championshipsto be held from August 10 to 14 next.

After observing the coliseum facilities, they visited other places, such as the Miraflores and Pascuales complexes, which could be used for the training of the different delegations, as well as the hotels where leaders, coaches, judges and athletes will stay.
The president of the Ecuadorian Judo Federation (FEJ), Robert Ibaneztogether with Roberto Ibáñez García, sports director of the national team, welcomed the visitors.
“On behalf of the International Judo Federation, we are very excited to be in Guayaquil-Ecuador, who will host the World Junior Judo Championship, for which we will have about 90 countries. We want to make sure that it is not only a great experience, but also for the judo community and the city as this is a very prestigious event for our organization,” said Mike Tamura, IJF Sporting Director for Youth Events.
For his part, Roberto Ibáñez stated: “The organization of this Junior World Judo Championship in Guayaquil, in addition to helping the development of our sport, gives another status to the Ecuadorian judoka, because his country organizes events of great magnitude, which will allow to stimulate their confidence with the competitive frictionfundamental when it comes to defending Ecuador in his sports career”.
