The three previous matches in Indian Wells – with Anhelina Kalinina, Clara Tauson and – Iga ¦wi ± tek won only after three hundred battles, each time losing in the first game and being indisputably better in the next two. Against Keys, Polka played at her highest level from the very first ball.

This made the representative of the hosts completely helpless. She won the first game only when she was already losing 0: 5 in the first set. Up to this point, she was only able to score six small points! If anyone expected the last two games of the first game to be a harbinger of an even duel in the second set, they were deeply disappointed. Świątek turned on the “roller” mode again. She quickly gained a 4-0 lead, giving her opponent only three small points in these four games.

In the next game she was close to winning her own application, even leading by 40:15, but what of that, since the Polish team won four consecutive points and after a while she could serve to victory in the entire match. She took advantage of this opportunity and used the second match ball, and after a while she was able to celebrate another big success in her career.

In the quarter-finals of the prestigious tournament in Indian Wells, Iga Świątek defeated the American Madison Keys 6: 1, 6: 0 in just 56 minutes and can enjoy the promotion to the semi-finals and to the second place in the WTA ranking, where she will overtake the Czech woman who is absent in California. Before Christmas there will be only Australian Open winner, Australian Ashleigh Barty.

In the semi-finals in Indian Wells, Iga Świątek will face a Romanian (WTA 26th) who smashed Croatian Petra Martić (WTA 79) 6: 1, 6: 1. This match is to be played at night from Friday to Saturday, Polish time.
