Burns admitted that he hired two fighters from Russia specifically to prepare for the fight and called them his secret weapon. The Brazilian highlighted the role of Russian coach Said Saparov, who improved his understanding of wrestling.
“These guys from Russia asked me not to name them. I had to agree. They showed me a lot of tricks that changed my game,” added the Brazilian. His duel with Chimaev will take place on April 10 as part of UFC 273.
Chimaev won four victories in four fights in the UFC. Each time, a native of Chechnya completed the fights ahead of schedule. In total, he has ten victories in ten fights in MMA.
