Russian figure skater Kirill Sarnovsky told why he decided to leave the group of coach Eteri Tutberidze for the academy of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko. It is reported by “Match TV”.
According to him, there were hard trainings in Khrustalny both physically and mentally. “You have to do almost everything without stopping. I think the system of Evgeny Viktorovich just suits me better, ”said Sarnovsky.
The athlete added that the Plushenko Academy has a calmer atmosphere during classes. “I can’t train when they yell at me. I immediately close, and the training is not set right there, ”said the skater.
Sarnovsky moved to the Plushenko Academy in May 2019, before that he trained for six months under the guidance of Tutberidze. At the junior championship of Russia, which took place in January of this year, the 15-year-old figure skater took seventh place in the men’s singles.
