Lazio climbed to fifth place and entered the classification zone for the next Europa League , with 49 points. Venezia, in turn, remained in 18th place, with 22.

Lazio took possession in the first half and even threatened Venezia’s goal with a free kick by Milinkovic-Savic in the 14th minute. The visitors, on the other hand, adopted a defensive posture and tried direct calls that had no effect.
The hosts came back more aggressive for the second half and didn’t take long to score with Immobile, after a penalty awarded to defender Luiz Felipe, in the 12th minute. The now isolated top scorer of the competition with 21 goals went for the ball and hit it hard, in the right corner, with no chance for the goalkeeper.
Lazio returns to the field on Sunday to face Roma, at 14:00 (BrasÃlia), away from home, for the Italian Championship. On the same day, Venezia welcomes Sampdoria at 8:30 am.
