Porto wins and remains undefeated in Portuguese

Playing at home, the Porto thrashed Tondela 4-0 for the Portuguese Championship this Sunday and remains undefeated in the competition. The goals of the match were scored by Taremi, Galeno, Fábio Vieira and Francisco Conceição.

The team reached 70 points and leads the championship with an impressive campaign. In all, there are 22 wins and four draws. Tondela, in turn, continues to have a bad performance and is in sixteenth place with 21 points.

Porto had possession in the first half and pushed Tondela into the defense field until they opened the scoring with Taremi, taking a penalty in the 45th minute.

In the second stage, Tondela had Manu Hernando expelled, at 22, after receiving the second yellow card. With the favorable scenario, Porto took no notice of the opponent and scored three goals in a six-minute break.

At 28, Galeno received in depth and hit with category in the left corner. Three minutes later, it was Fábio Vieira’s turn to go head to head with the goalkeeper and widen. Francisco Conceição closed the account at 34.

Porto’s next commitment is against Lyon, away from home, for the second leg of the round of 16 of Europa League, on Thursday, at 17:00 (Brasília time). In the first game, the French won 1-0, which ended an 18-game unbeaten streak for the Portuguese.

For the national league, Tondela receives Arouca in a direct confrontation for the fight against relegation, at 12:30, next Saturday.
