The trial series before the team competition started from the 9th starting beam. Later, however, the judges had to lift the inrun because the wind was getting stronger and it was blowing in the back. At one point it came to the 14th platform, but the best ones started from 12.
Slovenia does not give its rivals a chance. Poles can fight for a medal
In these circumstances, Domen Prevc did the best, as he flew 222 meters out of the 9th beam on the object. All his teammates were placed behind him. The second was Anze Lanisek (240 m), the third was Peter Prevc (230 m) and the fourth was Timi Zajc (232 m). It’s not hard to guess that Slovenia has knocked out its rivals in the trial round.
The best competitor from outside Slovenia was Yukiya Sato, who was measured 214 meters. Behind him was Andreas Wellinger with 224.5 meters. The seventh place was taken by Marius Lindvik (224.5 m), followed by the best Pole – (212 m).
In the team classification, the Austrians took second place and Germany was third. The white-and-reds were in the medal positions for most of the trial series. Ultimately, however, they were classified in 4th place. The loss to third place was 15.4 points.
Such a result, apart from a good attempt by Piotr ¯y³y, included 202 meters of Kamil Stoch (15th), 201 meters of Jakub Wolny (19th) and 194 meters of Dawid Kubacki (20th).
