Cristiano Ronaldo: another brand to immortalize in history

with your hat-trick in victory over Tottenham, this Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo took another step to immortalize himself in history and reached 807 goals scored in official games. He surpassed the 805 attributed to the Austrian and Czechoslovakian Josef Bican, who was considered to be the greatest scorer in history (1931-1955).

With 807 goals scored since his debut as a professional in 2002, the Portuguese star can now claim for himself the title of the greatest goalscorer in the history of football, even if this symbolic title is still a matter of debate, with figures that differ according to sources and the games taken into account or not.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring with a 25-metre shot from the top corner (12) before putting his team ahead again from inside the area (38), three minutes after Harry Kane’s equalizer against Tottenham from the penalty spot.

The Portuguese returned to put his team in front with a header (82), after Tottenham had equalized.

The Portuguese broke the barrier of 800 goals in early December, with a double against Arsenal (3-2).

CR7 scored 691 goals with the teams he played for throughout his career (Sporting, Manchester United on two occasions, Real Madrid and Juventus), and 115 with Portugal, which also makes him the top scorer in the history of the national teams.

Pele claims, on his Instagram account, to have scored 1,283 goals throughout his career, counting unofficial matches. Most sources, however, agree that the “King” scored 767 goals in official matches.

Another legendary Brazilian, former striker Romario, claims to have surpassed in his “personal account” the barrier of 1,000 goals, counting those scored in the youth categories, in friendlies and commemorative games. Other sources attribute 772 to him.
