Russian gymnasts won gold at the World Championships

Russian gymnasts won gold in the group all-around at the World Championships in Japan. The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.

The Russian national team won the competition, beating the teams of Italy and Belarus. Russia was represented by Anastasia Bliznyuk, Polina Orlova, Angelina Shkatova, Alisa Tishchenko and Maria Tolkacheva. The Russians scored 88.350 points for the performance. The closest pursuers from Italy have a score of 86,000. The bronze medalists scored 85,400 points.

On October 28, Russian woman Dina Averina won gold in exercises with clubs. Second place was taken by Averina’s sister Arina. The third place is taken by the representative of Belarus Anastasia Salos.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Dina Averina won silver in the individual all-around, losing to Lina Ashram from Israel. In Russia, refereeing at the tournament was criticized, considering it biased.
