It is also known that the Polish Ski Association is considering ending cooperation with the coach – the names of candidates for the new selector appear in the media.
Until recently, the most talked about was Mika Kojonkoski. On Sunday evening, Kacper Merk from Eurosport informed that the Finn will not be the coach of the Poles. According to Sport.pl, the new candidate for this position is Alexander Pointner, an Austrian coach who in the years 2004-2014 created in Austria probably the best team in the history of ski jumping.

Now you can be sure that PZN is talking to Pointner. The interested person himself took the floor. “There are constructive discussions that are characterized by mutual respect,” Pointner told the German news agency (DPA).
However, there is a long way from talking to hiring Pointner. In addition to the Austrian, the staff would probably need to hire a few more assistants. Besides, it is not the only candidate. There are other foreign coaches in the game, it is also possible that Maciej Maciusiak will take over the team. During the World Flying Championships in Vikersund, Adam Ma³ysz was also supposed to talk to Doleżal about his vision of leading the team in the future. He had, but he cannot do it, because Doleżal obtained a positive test result for and did not fly to Norway.
