“I would not run as a candidate to preside over the LigaPro because Miguel Ángel (Loor) is aware, Francisco (Egas) is aware, that one of the reasons why I accepted him to be part of the FEF board of directors was because we did not have to deal with the problem of organizing the top-class tournament, A very important space was opening up to be able to develop in the FEF, with the National Team, the categories, I would be wrong to leave all this and go to a place I wanted to go from, ”said the manager.

Manzur in relation to the elections of CS Emelec and that by judicial opinion the FEF must take charge of this process, said: “The operation of sports organizations, called clubs, responds to and is the responsibility of the higher organizations of the activity; however, corporate operation is a matter, for me, exclusive to the Ministry (of Sport), because it gives them legal status. In the Sports Law it is foreseen in the cases that the leaders do not call for elections and what it says is that the Provincial Federation, in this case Fedeguayasis the one that has to ensure that the elections are held and not the FEF”.
